Where it all started
From Safari Jeep Driver to Wildlife Guide
Safaria began with a simple dream: to build a life close to nature and to protect the wild places we loved as children.
Our journey began in 2013, when I started working as a safari jeep driver near Wilpattu National Park. Spending countless days in the wild inspired a deeper passion for wildlife and photography. Over the years, that passion grew into guiding wildlife photographers and travellers, and eventually into Safaria — a family-run safari company created to share the wildlife, landscapes and local knowledge of Sri Lanka with visitors from around the world.
We believed then, as we do now, in the words of Sir David Attenborough:
